Best UK 🇬🇧 Treadmills with Netflix

Here at CBHQ, we love a bit of tech.

Yet sadly as of 2023, there are still only a small handful of treadmills on the UK market that allow you to watch internet streaming services like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney Plus, YouTube and BBC iPlayer.

We’ve researched over 90 different running machines and the only brands offering treadmills with Netflix are:

  • NoblePro
  • Bowflex
  • NordicTrack / ProForm
  • Peloton

Some require a bit of backdoor shenanigans to get it to work……Others let you watch Netflix if you also subscribe to their workout bundles.

One treadmill comes with it all setup out of the box, with nothing extra to pay, ever.

A quiet word on audio: Treadmill speakers

One of the things you’ll probably look at for a treadmill with Netflix, is the speaker quality.

However, bear in mind that even if the speakers on the treadmill are of high quality, the noise from your footsteps while running may make it difficult to fully appreciate the sound. No matter how quiet the treadmill is while it’s running, your landing feet are always going to be relatively close to your ears.

So when thinking of treadmill audio, your best bet is to go with blue-tooth ear-pods or headphones. Ideally with noise cancelling tech.

Either the Apple AirPods Pro or the Bose QuietComfort will give you the best ever audio running experience.

UK treadmill brands you can watch Netflix or YouTube on

Generally speaking, adding a screen makes it more expensive. So, are treadmills with screens worth it?

Yes, they keep you entertained and motivated, which is half the battle!

You can think of treadmills with screens as breaking down into these three categories:

Treadmill without subscription with smart tv screen & Netflix etc

The NoblePro Elite E8i is the best overall treadmill for Netflix and any other streaming TV service.

It has a built in 10.1″ touchscreen display and comes preloaded with:

There’s also a smaller screened and cheaper option, the Bowflex 25

However, access is only available with subscription to the Bowflex JRNY app.

JRNY provides virtual coaching. The first year of JRNY membership is free. There-after it’s £13.99 a month or £139.99 if you pay yearly.

Other treadmills with Netflix and wifi internet streaming TV apps

The other brands with the best treadmill with TV screen for watching Netflix are NordicTrack, ProForm and Peloton.

Both NordicTrack and ProForm are brands by ICON fitness (iFIT). They both have various treadmills with an Android tablet built in, but with the same software.

iFIT try to lock down the treadmills so you can’t watch Netflix, as they want you to be paying for the iFIT virtual workout classes instead.

Zwift compatible treadmills

Zwift is a free running virtual environment. You can connect smart treadmills to Zwift via bluetooth.

To find treadmills you can use for Zwift, see Best Treadmill for Zwift.

You view Zwift on a companion phone, tablet or TV, while running.

As you run on your treadmill your avatar also runs at the same speed. You can run various international cities:

  • France
  • Innsbruck
  • London
  • Makuri Islands
  • New York
  • Paris
  • Richmond
As well as Watopia, which is a made up Zwift world.

Pros:

Large screen, great for streaming iFit workouts, powerful motor

Cons:

While Netflix can be used, its not supported by NordicTrack

The NordicTrack New Commercial 2950 treadmill has a 4.25 continuous horse power motor.

The max speed is 22 km/h, and it has a digital quick incline that goes from -3% to 15%. The running area measures 152cm by 56cm, and it can hold up to 135 kg of weight.
